Wedding Crowns

Couples in Myanmar (formerly Burma), Greece and parts of Eastern Europe are treated like royalty on their wedding day.  They traditionally wear crowns during their wedding ceremony.  In Thailand, the bride and groom wear string crowns attached by a sacred thread.

Supplies:

  • poster board

  • scissors

  • staples

  • markers, crayons or paint

  • extras: glitter, sequins...

Shape a strip of poster board with scissors and then decorate with traditional designs from a culture you are interested in. Let it dry completely before stapling and wearing.
